Dien Bien Phu Victory museum is the work that was built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (7/5 / 1954 - 7 / 5/2014). It was started construction since October, 2012 and opened in May 5th, 2014. This is a stopover for visitors in Indochina tour to Dien Bien and the living space of the world-shaking victory.
Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum was constructed from October, 2012, with an area of over 22.000m2. The grand in design with the unique display will make visitors seem to return to 9-year war against the French colony of Vietnam nation when going through the exhibition space of the museum. The main building is designed in the hat shape with meshes to tuck camouflage fatigues, like the hats of soldiers in Dien Bien previously, including a basement and a floating floor. The basement is the place to welcome visitors, administrative areas and interactive learning spaces. The floating floor is the fixed display space, panorama space and working parts.
The museum is over 7.000m2 wide, exhibiting nearly 1,000 artifacts and images and is divided into 4 areas including 9 years of resistance against the French, from September, 1945 to September, 1953; changes in Dien Bien Phu campaign; the help of the people in the world to Dien Bien Phu campaign; impact of Dien Bien Phu victory against the world and honorable room. Additionally, the entire second floor of the museum will design a panorama picture - a very important item in the sequence content exhibited in Dien Bien Phu historical victory that is expected to complete in 2016.
This is the first full picture made in Vietnam in order to recreate honestly Dien Bien Phu battle. The entire outline exhibited in the museum is associated with the events that relate to the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, where the highlight is the "56 days and nights dug mountains, slept tunnel, experienced continuous rains, compressed rice, and honor sacrifices of heroes of To Vinh Dien, Be Van Dan, Phan Dinh Giot ...
Many artifacts describing the work of the open road, pulling guns, food transport of troops and local people in campaigns such as wheelbarrows of Trinh Dinh Bam with one wheel made from the altar of his ancestor. This car could carry up to 280kg food / trip, so in just four months, with 20-kmarduous distance, he transported more than 12 tons of food to serve the battlefield. These artifacts, memorabilia demonstrate the magic that Vietnam army and people made in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, with primitive weapons and facilities but they defeated modern weapons and facilities of the French in the war.
